Ellen C. Marshall, Of Counsel  in the firm’s Family Law Department,   will lecture on the topic of “Legal Research & Writing” at the 2015 New Jersey Paralegal Convention. The annual full-day program will be held on October 23, 2015 from 8:00am – 4:00pm at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin, New Jersey.

Dotting the “i’s” and crossing the “t’s” is only part of what needs to be done when corresponding with the Court or preparing legal pleadings.  Ms. Marshall’s presentation will focus on improving research and writing skills for seasoned legal professionals, addressing ways to sharpen writing skills and methods for incorporating research into legal writing. 

Ms. Marshall focuses her family law practice on complex custody and economic issues. She appears in both trial and appellate courts. Ms. Marshall has been appointed guardian ad litem by courts in various forms of custody causes of action. She interfaces and works cooperatively with attorneys in the areas of estate planning, trust formation and administration, and criminal defense. She has served as an adjunct instructor of legal research and writing at Seton Hall University.
