Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas A. McGowan has joined the firm as an associate, assisting in the representation of clients in redevelopment, land use and real estate matters, including the developers and sponsors of condominiums and other planned real estate developments.
Tom earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 2025, receiving an academic merit scholarship and earning membership in the Order of the Coif national honorary scholastic society for law students. His law school activities included the Rutgers Business Law Review (Business Editor) and the Community and Transactional Lawyering Clinic, where he assisted the clinic’s clients in the creation of operating agreements, reviewed and drafted contracts, and provided guidance related to permits and licenses. Tom received his B.A. from Boston College in 2019
As a summer associate and intern at the firm, Tom gained valuable experience by working closely with partners and other attorneys, including significant research on land use, redevelopment, and municipal governance matters. A former judicial intern to The Honorable Lisa Rose, New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, he was also a legal intern in the Queens District Attorney's Office and a senior associate at the London Stock Exchange Group.
