Litigation requires patience, organization, and strategy. I pride myself on taking the long view of a case, seeing not just the bigger picture but also understanding how each piece fits together – like a puzzle. I enjoy taking the disparate pieces of a litigation and using them to craft a creative strategy to help achieve our client’s goals.

Mr. Patel concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, representing individuals, businesses, shareholders, and executives in complex state and federal court matters. He has experience counselling clients through all phases of the litigation process.

Mr. Patel’s work encompasses contractual disputes related to the enforcement of operating agreements, restrictive covenants, and other contracts, as well as oppressed shareholder cases, partnership disputes and consumer fraud claims. He has experience handling construction contract claims, including the prosecution and defense of liens under New Jersey’s Construction Lien Law. He also counsels clients in seeking and opposing matters involving emergent relief, and has been involved in matters brought before the New Jersey Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Mr. Patel drafts and argues motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions, and has experience in drafting pleadings, settlement agreements, discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, and in assisting with internal investigations. He has also represented clients in alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration proceedings.
