I enjoy helping my clients navigate the strict regulatory structure of the healthcare industry. I pride myself on being a practical attorney and negotiating hard to get the deal done.
Mr. Prives concentrates his practice in the areas of healthcare and corporate law. His experience on behalf of healthcare industry clients encompasses hospital-physician alignment, mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, alliances, strategic transactions, joint ventures, recruitment matters, the drafting and negotiation of contractual agreements, healthcare information technology issues, integrated delivery systems (population health) and clinical integration matters. He also counsels clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory matters, including Stark, Anti-Kickback, state self-referral laws, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, health care reform, Medicare and Medicaid issues, coverage and overpayment issues, compliance, regulatory and due diligence reviews, licensure and certification issues, the corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting laws.
Mr. Prives represents a wide range of healthcare clients, including for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, ancillary service providers, laboratories, medical technology companies, telemedicine companies, medical billing companies, dental groups, skilled nursing facilities, behavioral health centers, healthcare management companies, and investment funds and private equity firms specializing in healthcare.
Additionally, Mr. Prives advises general business and corporate clients in mergers and acquisitions in a variety of industries. His work in this area includes contract drafting and negotiation and providing legal consultation and document review to business entities of all sizes. Mr. Prives also represents tenants in commercial real estate leases in multiple types of properties, including retail locations and office buildings.
Mr. Prives lectures and writes frequently on healthcare industry issues and general business topics for both local and national audiences.
