Meryl A.G. Gonchar, co-chair of the Real Estate Department of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP, was the recipient of the Woman of the Year Award from Garden State Woman in the category of Women’s Initiatives. Ms. Gonchar was selected for this honor in recognition of her work in helping to found the GRS&D Women’s Leadership Forum and her service on its Committee.

In 2010, Ms. Gonchar was the recipient of the Middlesex County Bar Association Transactional Attorney Practice Award for excellence in her profession. She was named a Woman of Influence by Real Estate Forum Magazine in their July/August 2010 issue. Ms. Gonchar was recognized as one of Real Estate New Jersey magazine's Women of Influence in 2009 and was selected for NJBIZ magazine's Top 50 Women in Business in 2008. She was also selected for inclusion in: Super Lawyers – New Jersey Edition as one of New Jersey's Top 50 Women Lawyers (2010, 2011) and as an outstanding lawyer in the Land Use/Zoning practice area; Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in the Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use category; and The Best Lawyers in America in the Real Estate category. She is an elected member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

Ms. Gonchar is resident at the firm’s Woodbridge office and is Chair of the firm’s Land Use Practice Group. Her practice encompasses all aspects of land use and zoning and land use litigation. She serves on the firm’s Marketing Committee and recently completed a term on the Management Committee.

Ms. Gonchar serves on the Boards of Directors of NAIOP-NJ, Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ) and the Women in the Profession Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a past president of Industrial/Commercial Real Estate Women - New Jersey (ICREW-NJ) and a past Chairperson of the Land Use Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
