Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis is proud to announce that the Hon. Michael R. Casale (Ret.) will be honored with the 2026 Eugene D. Serpentelli Award by the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) at its annual meeting in Atlantic City in May.

The Serpentelli Award is presented annually to an individual in recognition of lifelong and extraordinary contributions to the development of family law in New Jersey.

Judge Casale is Of Counsel in the firm’s Family Law practice. He represents clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences, and serves as a court-appointed discovery master in family and civil cases. His practice also encompasses consultation and trial strategy in child custody, relocation, child support, and domestic violence matters. 

Prior to joining Greenbaum, Judge Casale spent 20 years as a Superior Court Judge in Essex County, serving at the trial court level in the Criminal, Civil, and Family Divisions.
