Jack Fersko, Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, will serve as a program coordinator, moderator, and speaker for the seminar “Advanced Topics in Commercial Leasing: 2023” on Thursday, November 16, 2023. The full-day program will be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education from 9:00am – 4:00pm at the New Jersey Law Center, and will also be available online.
Greenbaum partner Barbara J. Koonz, Chair of the firm’s Energy, Renewable Resources & Sustainable Development Practice Group, will join Mr. Fersko as a member of the program’s faculty.

Mr. Fersko’s practice reflects his extensive experience as a commercial real estate and general business lawyer. His legal services emphasize industrial and commercial real estate activities, with a particular focus on industrial leasing, project financing, sustainable development and alternative energy initiatives, urban redevelopment, and the impact of environmental laws on commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition and redevelopment of environmentally contaminated sites. He also advises clients on the business impacts of New Jersey’s medical and personal-use cannabis industry.
Ms. Koonz focuses her practice in the areas of environmental and energy law, with an emphasis on environmental permitting for redevelopment, environmental compliance and renewable energy projects. She advises clients with respect to New Jersey state and federal environmental permitting and regulatory compliance issues, due diligence for acquisitions, the resolution of enforcement actions with public agencies, the permitting and transfer of solid waste and public wastewater, and regularly represents solar energy providers and hosts in connection with the development of grid-supply, net-metered and community solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.
