NJSBA 2018 Annual Meeting and Convention, Atlantic City

Christine F. Li, a partner in the Real Estate Department and Chair of the firm’s Community Association and Planned Real Estate Practice Groups, is the organizer and moderator of a program on “Legal Issues Impacting Community Associations” to be presented at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2018 Annual Meeting and Convention, which takes place May 16-18, 2018 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City.  Ms. Li’s program is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. 

Recent developments in the area of community association law will be the focus of this program with an interactive format so that the attendees may pose their questions to the panel.  Recent developments will include the “Radburn Law,” intended to enhance participation in community association elections, which was signed into law on July 13, 2017; the September 14, 2017 Palisades at Fort Lee Condominium Association decision interpreting the statute of limitations in construction defect litigation; the application of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and corporate veil piercing to community association construction defect litigation; and pending legislation.

Ms. Li focuses her practice in real estate, with a concentration in planned real estate development law and condominium law.
