The law firm of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith, Ravin, Davis & Himmel LLP announces that Partner Marc J. Gross, resident in the firm’s Roseland office, has been elected secretary of the Essex County Bar Association. The Essex County Bar Association was formed in 1899, has 3,000 members and is the largest county bar in New Jersey.

Gross, of Livingston, represents corporate, partnership, banking and individual clients and has experience litigating and resolving partnership and corporate conflicts, trademark issues, employment and complex commercial disputes on behalf of numerous business entities. Gross concentrates his practice in business counseling and trial practice in the state and federal courts.

Gross serves as president and founding member of the North Jersey Business Council, a non-profit, business development league based in Roseland, New Jersey, which assists professionals, entrepreneurs and chief executives of established firms in building business relationships. In January 2004, Gross formulated and became a member of the Board of Trustees for Parkinson’s Hero’s, Inc., an independent non-profit charitable organization dedicated to combat Parkinson’s Disease.

Gross is a recipient of the Young Lawyers’ Section Achievement Award from the Essex County Bar Association (1999). In 2002, he was selected by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the leading 40 attorneys in the state under the age of 40. A noted commentator on business issues, he has appeared as a panelist in forums for the legal profession and as a guest on statewide television news broadcasts. He is a graduate of The George Washington University and received his law degree from The George Washington University National Law Center.
