9:00am – 12:45pm

The Hon. Glenn Berman (Ret.), Of Counsel to the firm’s Litigation Department, will be a panelist for the seminar “2022 Legal Malpractice Update,” to be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education at the New Jersey Law Center on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 9:00am – 12:45pm.

Every year, an increasing number of New Jersey attorneys find themselves facing ethical issues - often without realizing they were inadvertently in violation. And, as a result, the body of law pertaining to legal malpractice continues to develop.

Speakers at this program will touch upon risk management issues, the recent Cadre case, motions to dismiss for premature filings, shifting the blame to others, and expert reports in legal malpractice cases. The program will culminate with a legal malpractice court room demonstration.

Judge Berman focuses his practice on mediation, arbitration, and discovery management of complex family, commercial, estate/probate, real estate and general equity matters. His practice area also encompasses special master services, settlement conferences and law enforcement investigations.

Mr. Louis concentrates his practice in the area of family law. He has over 45 years of extensive experience in negotiating and litigating economically complex divorce cases, representing clients in all aspects of divorce including asset distribution, child support and alimony, with the goal of achieving a negotiated result but, when required, a fair result after trial.
