9:00am – 3:00pm

Greenbaum partner Robert B. Hille will be a panelist for the seminar “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare – Where Are We Now?” which will be presented on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 9:00am – 3:00pm at the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) Conference and Event Center in Princeton. The program will be hosted by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in cooperation with the NJSBA Health Law Section and the New Jersey Hospital Association.

Artificial intelligence (AI) impacts many industries and healthcare is no exception. AI can help medical professionals and facilities automate routine tasks and increase efficiency, improve diagnoses, accelerate the discovery of more effective treatments, and so much more. Yet, as with all AI, lawyers and healthcare providers must be aware of the pitfalls that can arise when AI is used in the health law setting.

This cutting-edge program will bring together healthcare attorneys and members of the healthcare community to provide practical, up-to-the-minute information. Attendees will receive an overview of AI and related terminology, real life use cases that demonstrate how AI is being used in healthcare, the current status of healthcare AI regulation, the practicalities of implementing AI in healthcare, AI vendor vetting and contracting, pitfalls to watch out for, including AI bias and discrimination, and much more.

Bob, who focuses his practice in litigation with a particular emphasis on trial advocacy, will participate in a discussion addressing “The Potential Downsides of AI - Ethics, Bias, Discrimination, and Liability.” His areas of concentration include insurance, healthcare law, professional liability and ethics, and white-collar criminal matters, including those related to professional ethics. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and lectures frequently on issues related to attorney ethics and professional liability.
