Steven Nudelman, Chair of the firm’s Construction Contracting & Risk Management Practice Group, will present the webinar “Shifting Risks: Contract Time Provisions in Construction Contracts” live on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. The program, developed by Mr. Nudelman, will be hosted by Law Practice CLE and will also be available for viewing on-demand.
The saying “time is money” is extremely relevant when it comes to construction projects. This course focuses on some of the most common time provisions in construction contracts, offering drafting tips and concerns from the perspectives of the owner and contractor. Most time provisions are subject to negotiation, and it is helpful to understand these clauses, their impact on construction projects and the extent to which they may reasonably be negotiated.
Areas to be discussed during this program include:
- Definition of “Contract Time”
- Substantial Completion
- Liquidated Damages
- Bonus Provision
- No-Damage-for-Delay Clause
- Force Majeure
