Ann M. Waeger, Of Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Department, will be on the faculty for the seminar “Emerging Issues in Environmental Insurance,” to be presented on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 9:00am – 1:00pm (ET) at the offices of Latham & Watkins, 885 Third Avenue, New York, NY. The seminar is sponsored by the Environmental Insurance Committee of the Environmental and Energy Law Section, the Business Law Section, and the Committee on Continuing Legal Education of the New York State Bar Association, and will also be available for viewing via a video replay broadcast on November 28, 2018.
This seminar will feature a panel of key decision makers from the leading environmental insurance carriers, including Chubb, XL, Ironshore, AWAC, and Beazley, along with experienced environmental insurance counsel, brokers and risk management specialists. Ms. Waeger and her fellow presenters will examine critical aspects of environmental insurance coverage and provide valuable information on using environmental insurance as a risk management tool in transactions, litigation, and operations.
Sessions will address emerging areas of legal liability in the environmental arena and evolving coverages and will feature practical tips from environmental insurance and coverage professionals. Ms. Waeger’s practice encompasses the purchase, sale and leasing of industrial and commercial real estate, the formation of business entities and the financing of industrial and commercial real property and business assets. She has a special focus on environmental issues in the transactional setting, including leases and agreements of sale, and the use of environmental insurance policies as a risk management tool. Her clients include leading real estate developers, property and business owners, landlords, tenants, manufacturers, lenders, and REITS.
