Brian R. Selvin will be on the faculty of a full-day seminar on “Estate Administration Procedures: Why Each Step Is Important,” to be presented by the National Business Institute (NBI) on October 16, 2015 from 8:30am – 4:40pm at the Holiday Inn South Plainfield-Piscataway.  The program will address a broad range of topics related to the proper administration of estates and related procedures.  Mr. Feinberg’s portion of the program, “Understanding Tax Procedures to Avoid Problems Later,” will focus on issues including an overview of tax compliance and post-mortem planning; preparation of a decedent’s final income tax return; filing requirements for federal and state estate tax returns; impacts of the generation-skipping transfer tax on clients; distribution to minors and trusts; the accurate and inclusive valuation of assets; and determining alternatives for surviving spouses – disclaimers, rights and options.

Mr. Selvin concentrates his practice in the areas of estate and tax planning, estate administration, probate and trust litigation, wills and trusts, business succession planning, and tax controversy before federal and state tax authorities as well as federal and state Tax Courts.
