Live Webinar
9:00am – 12:00pm

Greenbaum partners Steven Nudelman and Robert B. Hille will be faculty for the webinar “Fee Disputes in New Jersey: Retainer Agreements, Billing Practices and the Arbitration Process,” to be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

Fee disputes in New Jersey can quickly escalate into ethics issues that jeopardize active cases and even an attorney’s license. Because fee arbitration is prioritized by the New Jersey Supreme Court over nearly all other obligations, lawyers must understand the process before a dispute arises.

Steve, who chairs the firm’s construction contracting and risk management practice, will serve as moderator for the program. He will introduce the webinar with an overview of how fee disputes fit into the ethics landscape in New Jersey and will also lecture during a segment on how fee arbitration works from initiation to enforcement. A secretary of the District VIII (Middlesex County) Fee Arbitration Committee, he has practiced construction law for nearly 30 years, handling both transactional matters and claims.

Bob, a partner in the firm’s litigation and healthcare practices, will co-present a segment on preventing fee disputes before they start. He focuses his practice in litigation, with a particular emphasis on trial advocacy. His areas of concentration include insurance, healthcare law, professional liability and ethics, and white-collar criminal matters, including those related to professional ethics.
