The Hon. Glenn Berman (Ret.) and the Hon. Donald A. Kessler (Ret.) will be panelists for the seminar “Hot Tips in Family Law,” to be presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education at the New Jersey Law Center on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

This comprehensive seminar will feature 45 highly-respected matrimonial experts who will explore complex ethical issues that are seemingly ever-present in a family law practice, including conflicts and referrals, confidentiality and privilege, candor towards the tribunal, and zealous advocacy in the matrimonial law setting.

The panel will also share their collective knowledge/experience, strategies, and proven “best practices” to avoid or overcome complicated ethical dilemmas in specific family law situations, providing attendees with practical, thoughtful tactics that can be implemented in their practices.

Judge Berman is Of Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department, where he focuses his practice on mediation, arbitration, and discovery management of complex family, commercial, estate/probate, real estate and general equity matters. His practice area also encompasses special master services, settlement conferences and law enforcement investigations.

Judge Kessler is Of Counsel in the firm’s Litigation and Family Law Departments, where he focuses his practice on resolving commercial and family law disputes through mediation and arbitration as an alternative to traditional litigation.  In the area of family law, Judge Kessler's experience encompasses issues related to alimony, child support, custody, equitable distribution, relocation, domestic violence and reimbursement of counsel fees.
