Live Webinar
9:00am – 12:15pm

Christine F. Li, Chair of the firm’s Community Association and Planned Real Estate Practice Groups, is the coordinator of and will moderate the webinar “Mastering Condominiums and Planned Real Estate Developments.” The program, which has been brought back by popular demand, will be presented on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 9:00am – 12:15pm by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section.

Representing community associations requires an understanding of the challenges that condominiums and planned real estate developments create and of the community associations formed to respond to those challenges.  Beginning with the development of these communities to the conduct of their affairs by the owners of homes and beyond, attorneys and other professionals need to be aware of the wide range of issues and applicable areas of law.

The discussion in this program will span several aspects of association representation and give a foundation of the issues faced in this practice, including:

A partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, Ms. Li’s work encompasses new construction condominium and subdivided lot communities, the conversion of rental properties to the condominium form of ownership, mixed-use developments, commercial and business condominiums, workouts of distressed communities, community association law, and the registration of planned real estate developments with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA). She has experience in the acquisition and sale, mortgage financing and leasing of commercial and residential real estate and provides litigation support in cases involving construction defects and transition from sponsor to unit owner control. Ms. Li’s community association representation includes general counseling, collections, and alternative dispute resolution.
