The American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law will hold its 24th Annual Spring CLE Symposia on May 2-3, 2013 in Washington, DC. The theme for this year’s Symposia is “The Inside Track/The Inside Tract.”

Real Estate partner Jack Fersko will participate in a May 3, 2013 panel discussion addressing “Solar Panel Siting Negotiations: Leasing and Land Use Issues and Special Considerations for Government Property.” His presentation will include a brief overview of the benefits of solar development followed by a look at various transaction costs and due diligence considerations, including necessary upgrades, zoning and land use issues, solar licenses and easements, and mineral rights.

Mr. Fersko is an active member of the ABA as a member of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, serving on the Corporate Sponsorship Committee, as chair of the Government Submissions Task Force, and as a member of the Green Leasing Task Force. Co-chair of the firm’s Alternative Energy & Sustainable Development Practice Group, he has written numerous articles and is a frequent lecturer on solar development and sustainability issues.
