Lydia C. Stefanowicz, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, will be a presenter for a live webcast on “Uniform Commercial Code Opinions in Real Estate Transactions,” to be presented on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 1:00pm (ET).  The presentation is part of the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law (RPTE) Commercial Real Estate Series: Beyond the Basics, a 10-part series of programs providing important insights into key areas of commercial real estate law.

The program is based on the recently published Uniform Commercial Code Opinions Report and will provide guidance to opinion practitioners in real estate finance transactions when there is a security interest in any personal property or fixtures.

Specific topics include:

Ms. Stefanowicz concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial lending and real estate finance.  She provides counsel to both lenders and borrowers in real estate acquisition, construction, permanent mortgage (including CMBS) and mezzanine financings.  She has significant experience in real estate workouts and debt restructuring transactions, and represents real estate developers and investment funds in connection with the formation of joint ventures to acquire, develop, construct and manage properties.
