The Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business has once again recognized Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP in its annual rankings of the foremost law firms and lawyers in the country.

The recently published 2012 edition of the Chambers Guide ranks our firm among the top tier law firms in New Jersey in four core practice areas - Litigation, Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate and Environment. Additionally, the firm is pleased to announce that thirteen of our partners rank among the top attorneys in this year’s Chambers Guide listings.

Litigation: General Commercial

Chambers USA editors note that in handling cases from ‘small disputes to substantial high-profile matters,’ the Greenbaum litigation team is ‘thorough and impresses clients with its ability to digest the facts of a case and achieve successful outcomes.’ They quote sources who describe the firm’s litigation department as “well-developed and high trained” with lawyers who are “very attentive to client needs.”

Paul A. Rowe, chairman of the firm and chair of our Litigation Department, is identified as a “premier litigator” and “a sought after commodity” who one source characterizes as “one of the best trial lawyers I have seen: he is well prepared, a great strategist, and a superb cross-examiner.”

Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions

Chambers comments that ‘the firm has carved out a key position in the New Jersey market for advising a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses’ with a corporate team that ‘is committed to developing long-standing relationships with clients.’ They quote sources who report that our lawyers have “great legal knowledge and business sense” and are “responsive and communicate…in a timely manner.”

W. Raymond Felton, the firm’s co-managing partner and chair of the Corporate Department, is described by sources as an “incredible individual: I could not ask for better representation for my company.” His “thoroughness is unbelievable and from a business perspective he reduces the risk of the decisions we need to make.”

Real Estate

Thomas J. Meryl A. G. Gonchar, co-chair of the Real Estate Department and chair of the Land Use Practice Group, retains her reputation as an “excellent land use and zoning lawyer.”

Martin E. Dollinger, Real Estate Department partner, is described as “supersmart” and ‘hailed by peers as a “dean” in the field.’ Editors note his ‘premier leasing work’ and quote ‘an impressed client source’ as saying “he is the consummate professional and his level of expertise is astounding.”

Jack Fersko, Real Estate Department partner and Alternative Energy and Sustainable Development Practice Group chair, impresses clients with his “depth of understanding on complex issues related to business and legal matters” and his “ability to draft, negotiate and conclude transactions from beginning to completion both professionally and in a timely manner.”

Robert S. Goldsmith, Real Estate Department partner and chair of the Redevelopment Practice Group, is ‘widely acclaimed’ as an “excellent redevelopment lawyer who totally knows his subject matter.” Chambers editors note that he is ‘sought by developers intending to make complex land use applications.’

Christine F. Li, Real Estate Department partner and chair of the Planned Real Estate Practice Group, is described by sources as “phenomenal,” with editors noting her ‘core expertise in condominium law’ and ‘well known’ status for her work in planned real estate development.

Environment
