Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP Partner, Andrea J. Sullivan is the recipient of two significant awards for her contributions to her profession, community, and business.

NJBIZ named Ms. Sullivan One of 50 Best Women in Business in New Jersey, an honor that will formally be celebrated at a dinner reception at the Palace at Somerset Park on April 7th. The honor is bestowed for contributions to one’s profession, business and community.

In her profession, Ms. Sullivan is named to The Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation and holds an AV rating (highest) from Martindale Hubbell.

Since 1991, Ms. Sullivan has been heavily involved in Central Jersey Legal Services Inc. (“CJLS”), a nonprofit law firm that provides free representation in civil cases to low income people who live in central New Jersey. CJLS has 40 attorneys and 20 paralegals who specialize in housing, family, consumer, senior and disability, education, labor and health law matters. She is the past president of the Board of Directors and is a member of the Board of Directors at CJLS. Ms. Sullivan is also the past president (2007-8) of the Middlesex County Bar Foundation and is a trustee of the Foundation, which among other activities funded by donations and grants, provides funding for the homeless, a holiday toy drive, essay and mock trial competitions for high school students and law school scholarships. She is also a six year trustee of the Middlesex County Bar Association (“MCBA”). Since 2006, Ms. Sullivan has been a volunteer for the Princeton Girlchoir. The Girlchoir, which started in 1989 as an after school activity for a small number of girls interested in choral music, has grown into the area's premier training and performance choir for over 200 girls ages 8 to 18. She is also involved in organizations that advocate and support women in business and the professions. Ms. Sullivan has been a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization, the Women Lawyers Section of the Middlesex County Bar Association, where she was on the Executive Committee for 5 years and is the past chair, and the Family Law and Women in the Professions Section of the NJ State Bar Association.

Ms. Sullivan will also receive the 2010 Robert J. Cirafasi Chancery Practice Award from the Middlesex County Bar Association for, among other things, her efforts in chairing the Early Settlement Program for the Chancery Division for the past nine years. This Program is one that Ms. Sullivan coordinates and it provides pro bono mediations for the Chancery bench that has led to hundreds of settlements facilitated by volunteer lawyers. Ms. Sullivan has served as a panelist for many continuing legal education programs, speaking at a number of New Jersey State Bar Association programs and as a panelist for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education. She has been recognized by members of the Superior Court of New Jersey for her outstanding legal skills, professionalism and sterling ethics, and as a result, she was appointed to serve as a rent receiver, a receiver of partnership interests and real property interests and to serve as Guardian ad Litem representing the interests of minors in foreclosure, trusts, and estate matters.

Ms. Sullivan’s practice includes commercial litigation, estate litigation and matrimonial law. She also represents professionals such as accountants, lawyers, and physicians in litigation involving business break-ups, valuation, and restrictive covenants.

Ms. Sullivan is a cum laude graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark with high honors.

Ms. Sullivan lives with her husband and three children in North Brunswick.
