Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP proudly announces that our Managing Partner Barbara J. Koonz has been recognized by NJBIZ as a recipient of a 2025 Leading Women in Business Award and was also selected by the publication for inclusion on its 2025 Law Power List.
The recipients of the Leading Women in Business Awards are professionals who have made a significant impact on business in New Jersey. This year’s more than 60 honorees span all industries, including finance, health care, law, education, technology and more. Following an open nomination process, a panel of independent judges selected this year’s honorees using a points system to evaluate submissions. Barbara and her fellow honorees will be recognized at an awards presentation on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6:00pm-9:00pm at The Palace at Somerset Park. Tickets for the event are available online.
The 2025 Law Power List was compiled by the NJBIZ editorial staff based on the publication’s reporting throughout the past year, with input from experts in a variety of fields and recommendations from readers. The NJBIZ staff seeks to recognize individuals who have gained public attention – and perhaps acclaim – for their professional accomplishments and public service, helping to make New Jersey a better place to live, work and do business. The publication notes that its honorees are not necessarily better at their jobs than others in their profession, but they have contributed meaningfully to the advancement of the public interest through their work and/or community service.
Barbara is a member of Greenbaum’s Environmental practice and leads the firm’s Energy & Renewable Resources practice. She focuses in the areas of environmental and energy law, with an emphasis on environmental permitting and compliance, development and transfer of electric generation facilities, renewable and clean energy projects, coastal and port-area projects, and A-901 licensing.
