Darren C. Barreiro, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, has been selected to serve as the sole New Jersey-based attorney representative of The Gavel, a recently launched national insurance defense network for insured and self-insured claims.

The Gavel is a resource for claims and risk professionals which seeks to streamline the claims defense process by offering a single point of web-based access to highly qualified attorney and non-attorney claims partners across the country.  The Gavel network employs a stringent three-tier vetting process in its selection of members, which includes direct referrals from claims professionals, personal interviews, verification of relevant professional experience, and a review of litigated verdicts.  In addition to attorneys, specialists within the network include investigators, experts, field adjusters and mediators.

Mr. Barreiro focuses his practice in the representation of individuals and businesses in complex commercial litigation, including international litigation and chancery matters.
