Greenbaum Rowe Smith and Davis LLP is pleased to announce the creation of a new practice group within its Dispute Resolution Group. This new group’s practice is limited to the Mediation and Arbitration of:

- Disputes Arising After an Acquisition
- Corporate Governance Conflicts
Two of the firm’s most experienced business lawyers, Alan E. Davis and Stephen H. Knee will chair the group and will act as neutrals or as advocates. Both Knee and Davis have more than 40 years of experience practicing business law, have been continually rated AV in Martindale Hubble and are listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA - America’s Leading Business Lawyers. Both men are partners at GRSD and have focused their work on mid-market companies.
Davis is the immediate past Chair of the Corporate Department at GRSD, a noted business authority and an active neutral on the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association. He was the original author of New Jersey’s Franchise Practices Act.
Knee is a former chair of the Business Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and co-chair of the Task Force on Acquisitions of Public Companies of the Negotiated Acquisitions Committee of the Section of Business Law of the American Bar Association. Steve is also the author of the “Buying and Selling Businesses” chapter of New Jersey Practice - Skills and Methods, published by West Publishing (1996). In 2007, he was appointed a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Fee Arbitration Committee and is a former member of its Ethics Committee.
