Thomas C. Senter, a partner in the Woodbridge office of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP, was inducted into The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel at their Seventh Annual Induction Dinner, held in Washington, D.C. on September 30. The featured speaker of the event was Mary Williams Walsh of the New York Times.
Senter, chair of the Employee Benefits Practice Group, concentrates his practice in all aspects of employee benefits which includes the design and drafting of qualified and non-qualified retirement and incentive compensation plans, stock option plans and other equity and equity based compensation arrangements. He also counsels clients on executive compensation matters, fiduciary issues under Title I of ERISA and on issues pertaining to the design and operation of health and welfare plans.
A graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Senter received his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
Senter and 23 other employee benefits attorneys joined nearly 280 current members of the organization from throughout the United States. To be considered for qualification, a nominee must have at least 20 years of experience as an employee benefits attorney and be recognized by his or her peers for expertise and adherence to the highest ethical standards. Fellows must also be committed to the development of the public’s understanding of employee benefits law and have engaged in significant writing and speaking in the field.
The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel began in 2000 and is a not-for-profit organization with the intention of increasing the public’s understanding and elevating the standards of employee benefits law.
