The New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Convention took place on May 18-20, 2016 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. A number of attorneys from Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis were on hand to participate in various CLE program offerings.

Mark H. Sobel was a speaker at “Domestic Violence Update,” sponsored by the Family Law Section, of which he is a member Emeritus and a Past Chair. Mr. Sobel is Chair of the firm’s Family Law Department.

Raymond M. Brown served as moderator for the session “Judicial Independence 2016,” and as a speaker at “Business and Human Rights: A New Practice Area for Main Street and the C-Suite - Opportunities at the Intersection of Human Rights Law and Business Practices” and “Personal Courage in the Practice of Law.” Mr. Brown, Chair of the firm’s Corporate & International Human Rights Compliance and White Collar Defense Practice Groups, is a member of the Bar’s Criminal Law Section and the Task Force on Judicial Independence.

Andrea J. Sullivan moderated the panel “Valuation Issues in Chancery Matters,” presented by the Equity Jurisprudence Committee, of which she is a former vice chair. She was also a speaker at “Hot Topics in Chancery and Probate.” Ms. Sullivan is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Glenn Berman moderated a seminar on “Arbitrating Business Disputes,” sponsored by the Business Law Section, of which he is a member. He also spoke on the “Injunctions from Bergen County to Boardwalk” panel. Judge Berman, Of Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department, is a member of the Bar’s Family Law Section Executive Committee, Equity Jurisprudence Committee, Amicus Committee and Labor & Employment Section.

Emily A. Kaller served as a moderator for the program “Shoemaker’s Children Syndrome – What Lawyers and Law Firms Need to Know About Law Firm Policies Addressing Gender Bias in the Workplace,” sponsored by the Supreme Court Committee on Women in the Courts, of which she is a member. She was also a speaker at “Beyond the Glass Ceiling: Glass Doors.” Ms. Kaller is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and Chair of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Forum.

Matthew J. Schiller was a speaker at “Hot Topics in Commercial Real Estate Transactions.” Mr. Schiller, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, serves on the Bar’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section Board of Consultors as Assistant Secretary/Legislative Coordinator.
