Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP and McGraw-Hill Construction Will Hold Conference on March 6, 2008: “Development and Redevelopment Opportunities & Solutions in New Jersey” at Woodbridge Hilton. Keynote: Caren S. Franzini, CEO, NJ Economic Development Authority.

Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP and McGraw-Hill Construction present their Second Annual Conference on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Woodbridge Hilton beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m.  The conference, “Development and Redevelopment Opportunities & Solution in New Jersey” will feature keynote speaker Caren S. Franzini, CEO, NJ Economic Development Authority and will be moderated by Robert S. Goldsmith, Partner and Chair of the Redevelopment Practice Group at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP. 

Two panels of experts will discuss where the development/redevelopment opportunities are in the state and how to get them financed and built.   

Panel 1: “Where are the Opportunities” will include Donald S. Ayres, Director of Economic Development; David Minno, Minno & Wasko Architects & Planners; Robert S. Powell, Jr., Managing Director, Nassau Capital Advisors; and Adam Zellner, Director of Policy, NJ Governor’s Office.  They will discuss LEED, Financing, Environmental Issues, Perception v. Reality in Redevelopment: Heartbeat?, COAH, Site Control: Property Acquisition, and Not-in-my-backyard or NIMBY: School children, height, density. 

Panel 2: “Parking Matters in Smart Growth” dealing with one of the major cost drivers in development will include Gerard Giosa, President, Director of Parking Services, Level G. Associates; Robert S. Goldsmith, Esq., Chair, Redevelopment Practice Group, Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP; Richard F.X. Johnson, Senior V.P., Matrix Development Group; and Darius Sollohub, Assistant Professor, Associate Director Infrastructure Planning School of Architecture, NJIT.  The topics that will be addressed are Parking as Infrastructure: Who Finances?, Financing: How to Get Parking Approved, Financed and Built, Shared Parking Efficiencies, Aesthetics, and Community Acceptance.
