On Thursday, February 18, 2010, the Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP hosted Joan Verplanck, for a program entitled “New Governor, New Rules: New Business?” Ms. Verplanck is president of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, a 98-year-old Trenton based business advocacy organization. She has been its president for over 15 years.

The dinner event was held at GRS&D’s Woodbridge offices from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests included business leaders and other professionals. Ms. Verplanck’s speech and subsequent discussion addressed the economic climate within the state of New Jersey and New Jersey’s competitive position in commerce.

The mission of the Women’s Leadership Forum is to advance women in the firm and throughout the business community at large by helping business leaders grow professionally and sustain business success. The Forum presents and sponsors a variety of educational, networking and mentoring opportunities consistent with its mission that address topics such as leadership, competitive advantage, negotiation and other critical skills, as well as supporting charitable endeavors. Partner Emily Kaller is the Chair of the WLF.
