New Jersey Law Center
9:00am – 4:15pm

Robert S. Goldsmith, co-chair of the firm’s Redevelopment & Land Use Department, will lecture at the “2024 Redevelopment Law Institute,” presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in cooperation with the NJSBA Land Use section. The program will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 9:00am – 4:15pm at the New Jersey Law Center and will also be available for online viewing.

The annual Redevelopment Law Institute brings together attorneys, planners, government officials, and other professionals who are involved in redevelopment projects. This year’s program will address recent developments in caselaw, transit-oriented development with New Jersey Transit, and how redevelopment projects will relate to the next round of compliance with fair share obligations. For private and public sector professionals whose work focuses on redevelopment, this advanced-level program affords an opportunity to delve more deeply into some unique issues being addressed in the context of redevelopment projects.

Mr. Goldsmith will participate in the panel discussion reexamining New Jersey’s state redevelopment and development plan - it’s a policy, not a regulatory document, so why do clients need to get involved?

Mr. Goldsmith's practice focuses on redevelopment, downtown and urban revitalization, transit oriented development, project financing and incentives, sustainable building initiatives and public-private partnerships. His experience also encompasses counseling clients on the specialized issues in redevelopment related to parking demand, design and construction.
