Virtual Symposium

Our partners Jemi Goulian Lucey, Christopher D. Adams and Maja M. Obradovic will be presenters at the New Jersey State Bar Association 2020 Annual Meeting and Convention, which will be a virtual symposium due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Ms. Lucey will serve as moderator and will be joined by Mr. Adams and Ms. Obradovic as speakers at a program on “Employment Law and the Federal Court,” to be presented on Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 11:00am – 12:15pm.

Ms. Lucey serves as Chair of the Bar’s Federal Practice and Procedure Section, which is cosponsoring this presentation. The panel will address employment law matters in federal court, and will also discuss pre-litigation investigations, differences between federal and state employment law cases and some unique laws affecting federal cases.

Ms. Lucey is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on employment, higher education and professional negligence matters. She is Co-Chair of the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group and a member of the Employment Law Practice Group.  

Mr. Adams concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, internal investigations, attorney ethics matters and disciplinary proceedings, and complex commercial litigation.  He is Chair of the firm’s Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group.

Ms. Obradovic concentrates her practice in litigation, with a particular focus in employment litigation and bankruptcy reorganization matters. She has experience in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels.  She is Co-Chair of the firm's Employment Law Practice Group.
