Steven G. Mlenak, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Redevelopment & Land Use Departments, will be a panelist for a virtual presentation on “Executive Order 192” on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 beginning at 11:30am. This special invitation-only Lunch Series program will be hosted by Taylor Management Company.
On October 28, 2020, NJ Governor Phil Murphy issued Executive Order 192, which outlines steps that must be taken by all New Jersey private and public employers that have on-site employees. This presentation will educate TMC’s property managers and board members about several mandated requirements in the EO that may have an effect on their communities, and will outline legal, HR and implementation concerns that should be considered by managers and communities boards. Mr. Mlenak will deliver the legal segment of this presentation.
Mr. Mlenak is a member of the firm’s Community Association Practice Group, where he maintains a strong focus in the niche area of community association law, providing strategic guidance and general counseling to condominium and homeowners association clients across a broad range of legal issues. His work encompasses the interpretation and amendment of governing documents and by-laws, drafting contracts, collection of delinquent assessments, the enforcement of rules and regulations, operational and maintenance issues, the fiduciary responsibilities of board members, transition negotiations and litigation, Municipal Services Act compliance, and alternative dispute resolution. An active member of CAI-NJ, Mr. Mlenak currently serves as Vice Chair of the Membership Committee. He was recognized with CAI-NJ’s "2016 Speaker of the Year" award and was a shared recipient of the "2014 Committee of the Year" award for his work as a member of CAI-NJ’s National Legislative Action Committee – NJ.
