Meryl A.G. Gonchar, co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department and chair of the Land Use Practice Group, was a speaker at the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) Members Only Update on industry related legislation on September 11, 2013.

Attendees heard from industry experts about new legislation impacting the building industry, including the Economic Opportunity Act, various bills related to Superstorm Sandy, and the NJBA’s redevelopment bill amending provisions of New Jersey’s Local Redevelopment and Housing Law (LRHL) relating to the use of eminent domain, due process, and notice issues, which was signed into law by Governor Christie on September 9. The firm serves as a Master Sponsor of NJBA, and Ms. Gonchar is a member of the group’s Legislative Committee.

Ms. Gonchar practices in all aspects of land use and zoning and land use litigation.  She has appeared before planning and zoning boards throughout the state on behalf of property owners and developer clients in connection with all types of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed use projects. She is a frequent lecturer on New Jersey real estate and land use legal issues.
