The New Jersey State Bar Association will host the 2017 Annual Meeting and Convention at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City on May 17 – 19, 2017.  A number of attorneys from Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis will lecture as part of the event’s CLE programming.

Raymond M. Brown will speak on the topic of “Racism, Xenophobia, and the Algorithms: How Do the Results from Google and other Internet Search Algorithms Impact Society and the Law?” He will also be on the panel for a presentation on “#BLACKLIVESMATTER:  Historical and Legal Perspectives on Contemporary Movements for Social Change.” Mr. Brown is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and Chair of the Corporate & International Human Rights Compliance and White Collar Defense Practice Groups.

Emily A. Kaller will speak at the program “First Chair at Trial.  More Women Need Seats at the Table: Addressing Gender Bias and Advancement and Retention of Women in Law Firms, the Profession, and the Courts.”  She will also be on the panel of speakers for “Family Law Matters Involving LGBT Litigants: Promoting Fairness in the Law.” Ms. Kaller is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Andrea J. Sullivan will speak on the topic of “Metadata for the Non-Tech Savvy Practitioner: What It Is and How You Can Avoid Ethics Violations in Your Office.” She will also moderate and be a panelist for a presentation on “Valuing Closely Held Businesses.”  Ms. Sullivan is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Mark H. Sobel and the Hon. Michael R. Casale (Ret.) will speak at “Attorney Ethics in Family Law.”  Mr. Sobel is Chair of the firm’s Family Law Department, in which Mr. Casale is Of Counsel.

Christine F. Li will moderate and be a panelist at “Community Associations: Opportunities and Insights.”  Ms. Li is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department and Chair of the Community Association and Planned Real Estate Practice Groups.

Daniel M. Serviss will speak on the topic of “Domestic Violence.”  He is a partner in the firm’s Family Law Department.

Matthew J. Schiller will moderate and speak at a presentation on “Hot Topics in Commercial Real Estate.”  He is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department.
