NJSBA 2019 Annual Meeting and Convention, Atlantic City

Andrea J. Sullivan, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, will serve as moderator and a panelist for “Nuts and Bolts of Chancery Practice: Keep Calm and Get Results in General Equity,” to be presented at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Convention, which takes place May 15-17, 2019 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. Ms. Sullivan’s program is scheduled for Thursday, May 16 from 10:30am – 11:45am.

The program will provide a comprehensive overview of equity practice from beginning to end.  Esteemed judges and seasoned attorneys will review the life of a Chancery case.  Topics for discussion will include: factors to consider when deciding whether to file in Chancery or Law Division, proper drafting techniques for pleadings, strategic use of motions in limine and other motions, settlement hints, trial tips, winning procedures and more. 

Ms. Sullivan is Co-Chair of the NJSBA Equity Jurisprudence Special Committee. Her litigation practice encompasses the representation of individuals and business entities in commercial, estate, matrimonial, chancery litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. She has significant experience in handling contract and partnership disputes, actions involving closely held companies, oppressed minority shareholder litigation, hiring and termination of senior employees, non-compete issues, and other "business divorce” matters.
