Steven G. Mlenak, Co-Chair of the firm’s Redevelopment & Land Use Department, will be a panelist at a “Community Association/PRED Seminar,” which will be presented as a live webinar by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 9:30am – 11:00am.
Numerous changes have occurred over the past year that affect how community associations are formed and funded. Additionally, several new laws and regulations are set to have a major impact on community associations.
This seminar will review:

- Department of Community Affairs policies
Mr. Mlenak, a member of the firm’s Community Association Practice Group, maintains a strong practice in the specialized area of community association law, providing strategic guidance and general counseling to condominium and homeowners association clients across a broad range of legal issues. His work encompasses the interpretation and amendment of governing documents and by-laws, drafting contracts, collection of delinquent assessments, the enforcement of rules and regulations, operational and maintenance issues, the fiduciary responsibilities of board members, transition negotiations and litigation, Municipal Services Act compliance, and alternative dispute resolution. He further represents clients in construction defect litigation, Fair Housing discrimination cases and landlord-tenant matters.
