Steven G. Mlenak, Co-Chair of the firm’s Redevelopment & Land Use Department, will be a speaker at a Legislative & Regulatory Update hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA). The virtual program, open to NJBA members and presented by members of NJBA’s Master Sponsor firms, will follow the NJBA Board of Directors meeting on Friday, March 4, 2022.

NJBA President Tom Bovino will moderate a panel of NJBA Sponsors who will cover a number of the changes from the previous session including: 2020 Permit Extension Act and the Public Health State of Emergency, Law to protect Land Use Approvals, Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, Climate Change Assessments on Municipal Master Plans, Economic Recovery Act, and more.

Mr. Mlenak, who serves as Redevelopment Counsel to NJBA, will address policy updates on the Law to Protect Land Use Approvals Into Law (P.L.2021, c.23) and on the Law Regulating Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Common Interest Communities (P.L.2020, c.108).

Mr. Mlenak concentrates his practice in the areas of redevelopment, land use, zoning, and real estate development. His clients include property owners and developers engaged in mixed use, residential, industrial, commercial, office, retail and affordable housing development projects. He also maintains a strong practice in the area of community association law, providing strategic guidance and general counseling to condominium and homeowners association clients across a broad range of legal issues.
