Christine F. Li, partner in the Real Estate Department of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP (GRS&D), has been selected to the final short list of Chambers and Partners ‘Women in Law’ Awards, which honors the outstanding female lawyers in the United States. The award ceremony will be held on February 2, 2012 at The Plaza in New York City. For more than twenty years, Chambers has published the leading directories of the legal profession based on the independent peer evaluations and the feedback of clients and leading professionals in a lawyer’s area of practice.

Commentators in Chambers USA Directory of Leading Business Lawyers, 2011 called Ms. Li “the cream of the crop” who has “brilliant working relationships” with regulators and strong analytical skills. The Real Estate Department at GRS&D, in which Ms. Li is a member, is among the highest rated real estate departments in Chambers. Ms. Li is also the chair of the Planned Real Estate Group, co-chair of the Distressed Real Estate Group, and she is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Ms. Li is a leader in commercial real estate as evidenced by her affiliations and activities. In her profession, she is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell; she is a member of the prestigious American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the College of Community Association Lawyers, as well as being the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Consultors of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. Li is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the Real Estate Law category and was selected for inclusion for Super Lawyers - New Jersey Edition in the Real Estate category since 2008; in the Corporate Counsel edition since 2009; and one of New Jersey’s Top 50 Women Lawyers, 2008 and 2011.

Within associations and organizations related to planned real estate, Ms. Li is a member of the Community Associations Institute’s (CAI-NJ) Legislative Action Committee, a former elected member of the Board of Directors and vice president of CAI-NJ, and a Certified Mediator with the organization. Ms. Li is a co-author of New Jersey Condominium and Community Association Law (Smith, Estis & Li, Gann Law Books), most recently published in 2012.

Ms. Li is a frequent lecturer at and author for the New Jersey State Bar Association and its educational arm, the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJ-ICLE). Citing a few of the recent programs in which Ms. Li participated, she organized and moderated the Community Association Law Summit in 2011, a program so well received that it is proposed to be presented annually; presented an "Update on Condominium Issues and Transfers" at the 2011 Annual Real Estate Conference; and organized and moderated the 2010 Annual Real Estate Conference and presented "Distressed Real Estate: Defaults, Workouts and Opportunities". In 1997, she authored the textbook, Real Estate Closing Procedures, which she updates biennially for publication; and the “Common Interest Ownership in Commercial Real Estate” chapter of Commercial Real Estate Transactions in New Jersey, which was published in 2003, 2006, 2010.

Ms. Li received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. She is admitted to the bar in New Jersey.

Ms. Li resides in North Brunswick, New Jersey.
