David B. Farer, chair of the firm’s Environmental Department, is featured in the September 2012 issue of Commerce magazine in the article “New Jersey’s LSRPs: Rising to the Challenge.” The issues includes a special section on Environmental Business in the magazine, a monthly publication of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) that covers the key issues and trends impacting the state’s business community.
Mr. Farer concentrates his practice on the impact of environmental laws on transactions and real property in New Jersey and around the nation. He has extensive experience related to the cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated properties including brownfields, environmental compliance and insurance issues, institutional and engineering controls, assessing and negotiating liability under federal and state Superfund laws, resolution of environmental issues in bankruptcy proceedings, litigation arising from those issues, and the emerging field of sustainable development and green building. He writes and lectures extensively on environmental law issues.
