Marc J. Gross, a partner in the Roseland office of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP, was recently installed as President of the Essex County Bar Association (ECBA). With more than a one hundred year history and with nearly 3,000 members, the ECBA is the largest County Bar Association and the second largest association of attorneys in New Jersey.

Gross is a Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude, graduate of The George Washington University, where he also received his Juris Doctor. A member of Greenbaum’s Litigation Department, Gross concentrates his practice on business counseling and trial practice in the state and federal courts, representing corporate, partnership, banking and individual clients. He has significant experience litigating and resolving partnership and corporate conflicts, trademark issues, employment and complex commercial disputes on behalf of business entities.

In August of 2002 he was selected by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the leading 40 attorneys in the state under the age of 40 and in 2005, NJBIZ magazine cited Gross as one of the forty most prominent business leaders in the state under the age of 40. Gross has also been selected as a New Jersey “Super Lawyer” in the Business Litigation category as featured in the April issue of New Jersey Monthly magazine.

Gross is a dedicated leader in community activities, including his service as an officer, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Newark Conservancy, a charitable organization dedicated to the beautification of Newark. Presently, Gross serves with distinction as a member of the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Federal Practice Committee, where he holds the office of Treasurer. Gross also serves as Chairman of the Board of Parkinson’s Heroes, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to raise funds for research to combat Parkinson’s disease, and he serves as President and founding member of the North Jersey Business Council, a non-profit that assists professionals, entrepreneurs and chief executives in building business relationships.
