Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP proudly announces that Joel Clymer, a partner in the firm’s Employment Law and Litigation Departments, has been selected by the New Jersey Law Journal for inclusion on its 2022 list of “New Leaders of the Bar,” and has also been recognized as a 2022 “Forty Under 40” honoree by NJBIZ.

The New Jersey Law Journal’s New Leaders of the Bar list highlights attorneys yet to reach the age of 40 who bring both notable achievements and outstanding potential to the table in their work at law firms, corporate legal departments, or in other types of organizations. Criteria considered for this recognition includes the nominees’ development of the law, advocacy and community contributions, service to the Bar, and peer/public recognition. The publication will host its 2022 Professional Excellence Awards ceremony on September 29, 2022 at the Brooklake Country Club.

The NJBIZ Forty Under 40 program recognizes 40 business professionals under the age of 40 for their notable successes and demonstrations of strong leadership in the state. Honorees will be recognized during a virtual awards ceremony on September 21, 2022 and will also be highlighted in the Forty Under 40 event publication that will be featured in NJBIZ.

Joel ClymerMr. Clymer primarily focuses his practice on employment litigation and counseling. His litigation experience encompasses the investigation, evaluation and litigation of discrimination and retaliation claims under a wide range of federal and state employment law statutes. He provides representation from pre-litigation status through trial in state and federal court, and in appellate court proceedings. In the area of employment counseling, he provides guidance on a variety of employment issues in the workplace, including accommodation requests, employee benefits, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, workplace policies and procedures, employee handbooks, and severance agreements. 

Mr. Clymer is listed in Super Lawyers – New Jersey Rising Stars (a Thomson Reuters business) in the Employment Litigation: Defense and Business Litigation practice areas. He is Secretary of the Garden State Bar Association and serves on the GSBA’s Labor & Employment Law and 2022 Gala Fundraising Committees. He also represents the GSBA as its representative to the New Jersey Supreme Court Special Committee on the Duration of Disbarment for Knowing Misappropriation. He is a member of Greenbaum’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Leadership Team and Recruitment & Retention Focus Group.
