Joel ClymerJoel Clymer, a partner in the firm’s Employment Law and Litigation practices, will be sworn in as President of the Garden State Bar Association at the GSBA’s 50th Annual Sponsorship and Awards Gala, which will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Marigold in Franklin Township.

The GSBA is New Jersey's oldest and largest professional organization for African-American judges, lawyers, and law students. Joel has previously served as the Bar’s President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, and is a former member of the Board of Directors He was recognized by the GSBA with the 2024 Raymond A. Brown Award and received a 2024 Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the GSBA and the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law.

On assuming the role of President, Joel comments: “It’s an incredible honor to serve as President of the Garden State Bar Association during its 50th anniversary year. I look forward to building on our legacy, advancing the GSBA’s mission, and leading with purpose at this pivotal moment in the organization’s history.”

Since 1975, the GSBA has continuously assisted African-Americans and other ethnic minorities in becoming an effective part of the judicial and legal systems. The GSBA also seeks to advance the science of jurisprudence, improve the administration of justice, support initiatives designed to improve economic condition of all individuals, and eliminate discrimination and inequality based on racial, ethnic or sexual considerations.
